Product Manager, Next Wave Emerging Markets at Google Divon Lan met with representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Georgia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Georgian mobile operators, successful Web companies and universities.
Market Expansion group of Google is working with countries where the products, services and representation of Google aren't introduced, and the company wants to strengthen relations with these countries. Lan noted that purpose of his visit is to establish relations between Georgia and Google and transfer the cooperation to a new level.
At the meeting special attention was paid to the overall project and the potential of cooperation. The sides discussed the issue of improving support for the Georgian language in the production of Google. It is also planned to form a group of localization in Georgia, which will be financed from the budget of Google.
