Kazakhstan is ready to consider the possibility of grain export to Sri Lanka, Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov told journalists on Wednesday following the two countries' business forum in Astana.
"If to take the agriculture sphere, then Kazakhstan is one of the ten major grain exporters. We are ready to consider the possibility of grain export to Sri Lanka," Akhmetov said.
He said at present Kazakh grain is exported to more than 70 countries. In the marketing year Kazakhstan exports about 12 million tons of grain, including flour.
