Export volume from Georgia to Azerbaijan exceeded $74 million since early 2014

About a quarter of Georgian exports accounted for Azerbaijan in January-February 2014, according to the Georgian National Statistics Service's report on foreign trade.

Goods worth $74.53 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-February 2014, or 24.3 percent of the total volume of the country's exports during the period, according to the report.

Exports to Azerbaijan dropped 14.47 percent compared to the same period last year. By comparison, Georgian goods worth $87.14 million were exported to Azerbaijan in January- February 2013, according to the report.

Ukraine ranks second. Georgian goods worth $46.08 million (10.5 percent of a total export volume) were exported to that country in January-February 2014.

Russia ranks third having an export volume of Georgian goods. It ousted Armenia from the top three leaders, according to the report.

Georgian goods worth $43.59 million were exported to Russia during the reporting period, or 9.9 percent of Georgia's total export volume since early 2014.

Georgia exported goods worth $439.76 million in January- February 2014, or by 22.7 percent more compared to the same period last year, the report said.
