Ten special freight cars with mineral fertilizers were sent via railway from Turkmenistan to neighboring Afghanistan, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported May 17.
The deliveries were carried out from the Garlyk Mining and Processing Plant in the Lebap Province, which was commissioned more than a month ago. The products were also sent to the domestic market.
More than 1,000 tons of environmentally friendly mineral fertilizers were sent to the farms of Lebap, Mary, Ahal, Dashoguz and Balkan provinces, according to the report.
The Garlyk Mining and Processing Plant is the Central Asia’s largest industrial complex with a capacity of 1.4 million tons of potash fertilizers per year.
