About 60 major S. Korean companies establish contacts with businessmen of Uzbekistan

Representatives of about 60 major South Korean companies attended the Uzbek-Korean business forum and a stock exchange in Tashkent with the participation of entrepreneurs of the two countries.

More than 150 representatives of large enterprises and companies from various regions of Uzbekistan became participants of the forum.

The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with the National Bank of Uzbekistan within the visit of a business delegation of South Korea Nov. 7-11.

The South Korean companies engaged in construction, food industry, trade, production of jewelry, medical equipment, personal care products, gas cylinder equipment, agricultural machinery, ICT, packaging materials, textiles and textile equipment, logistics, fruit and vegetable processing and finished products took part in the forum.

During the event, presentation of lines of credit of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) in the National Bank of Uzbekistan was held. The lines of credit are allocated for the purchase of equipment of the South Korean companies. The business delegation also visited the exhibition-fair “Made in Uzbekistan.”
