Kazakhstan, Germany increase volume of road freight transportation

The volume of road freight transportation between Kazakhstan and Germany increased by 37,800 tons (from 166,000 to 204,000 tons) in 9 months of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016.

The details of cooperation in transportation of goods between the countries were discussed during the Kazakh-German commission meeting on international road transport issues in Germany’s Bonn city, the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan said in a message.

The parties touched upon cooperation in the field of trucking and determined quotas for the exchange of permit forms for the coming year.

The list of transported goods between Kazakhstan and Germany includes machinery, equipment, vegetable products, as well as products of the chemical industry.

The parties also agreed to establish a preliminary exchange of permits for bilateral transportation and transit for 2018.

The number permits for the Kazakh side amounts to 12,200 units and the number of permits for the German side amounts to 6,000 units. Permits for the transportation of goods to/from the third countries are determined in the amount of 1.000 units for both parties.
