Grain stocks in Kazakhstan decreased by approximately 2.3 million tons by December 1, 2017, the statistics committee of Kazakhstan said in a statement.

In December, the production decrease rate has slowed down, both in absolute and relative terms.

Meanwhile, the manufacturing of feed grain has decreased compared to the food grain, in December, compared to November. The volume of seed grain production continued to grow within the mentioned period.

According to the committee's statistics, Kazakhstan's overall grain reserves stood at over 20 million tons by Dec 1, 2017.

As of January 1, 2018, according to the committee, the country’s grain reserves amounted to 16,174,007 tons - a 8.7 percent decrease because of domestic consumption, exports, reflation, etc.
