Azerbaijan Railways transported more than 5.45 million tons of oil inside the country in 2017, said Ali Gasimov, the company's Head of Tariff Policy and Marketing Department.
He made the remarks April 23 at the III SOCAR International Forum entitled as "Downstream of the Caspian sea and Central Asia - trade, logistics, oil refining and petrochemistry".
He noted that in 2016, some 5.34 million tons of oil and oil products were transported through the main transfer stations of the CJSC and terminals, including Baku-cargo, Dubendi, Garadagh, Guzdek and Sangachal terminals.
"In the past year, 5.45 million tons of oil and oil products were transported through these stations and terminals. That is, the growth in comparison with 2016 amounted to 112,000 tons," Gasimov said.
