The price of each square meter of housing in Tehran was about $1,919 last month in Iran (September 22-October 22), according to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Young Reporters Club (YRC) website reported.
The prices of housing increased by 5.9 percent in comparison with August 21-September 22 and 83 percent in comparison with the same month last year.
The number of contracts on the purchase and sale of housing in Tehran last month was 9,561. Compared with the previous month, the number of the contracts decreased by 10.2 percent and 48.4 percent compared to the same month last year.
The cheapest price of housing was about $736 per square meter in Tehran’s housing market.
In general, the cost of each square meter in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th municipal districts in Iran was about $2,380, while the cost of each square meter in the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th municipal districts was about $714-$1,190.
However, according to the statistics for August 21-October 22, the purchase and sale of housing in Iran decreased 33 percent, while the prices increased by 73 percent compared to the same month last year.
