Tax revenues from Kazakh automakers increase

Tax revenues from Kazakh automakers in 2018 exceeded 7.5 billion tenge, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

Kazavtoprom (Kazakhstan Automobile Industry Enterprises' Union) informed that this is an increase of 2.7 percent compared to 2017 (7.3 billion tenge).

The largest taxpayer in the industry is the Asia Auto plant, which accounts for 54.7 percent (4.1 billion tenge, 34.3 percent up year-on-year) of the tax revenues.

Tax payments of Kamaz-Engineering plant increased by 35.7 percent to 1.3 billion tenge (17.9 percent of total tax payments in the industry). The Saryarka AvtoProm plant reduced tax payments by 58.4 percent to 945.5 million tenge (12.6 percent of total tax payments).

Last year, cumulative sales of the Kazakh automakers grew by 57.5 percent to 29,931 vehicles. Sales of the Asia Auto plant exceeded the figure of 2017 by 34.6 percent (17,100 vehicles sold). Sales of Saryarka AvtoProm showed an increase of 2.5 times (11,200 vehicles), while the sales of Kamaz-Engineering decreased by 12 percent (587 vehicles).
