About 600 auctions were organized by the Auction Center for the Organization of Tenders at Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Property Issues over the last year, director of the auction center Faik Melikov told Trend Feb. 12.
He said that about 2,000 facilities were privatized in the auctions held, including both state-owned facilities and non-residential areas.
“About 200 of the auctions held were competitive, and as a result of auctions held last year, over 1 million manat were transferred to the state budget,” he noted. “About 50 state facilities were sold on competitive auctions.”
Melikov added that the auction center has been operating since Sept. 14, 2016 and applications for participation in auctions are accepted online.
“The total number of online applications for participation in auctions reaches about 400,” he said. “Of these, 250 auctions were held on competitive conditions. The total value of revenues to the state budget from the auctions exceeds 50 million manat. The created conditions allow participants to observe and participate in auctions online.”
