Turkey to spend over $80M on air transport projects

Turkey will spend over $80 million on air transport projects, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Feb. 28.

Currently, work is underway on the implementation of 38 projects related to air transport, the ministry said.

The ministry noted that in 2018, 2.454 billion liras were spent on the implementation of transport projects in Turkey.

As part of these projects, the construction of a terminal at the airport of Balikesir province will be completed in 2019, the ministry said.

The total budget allocated for the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey for implementing transport and infrastructure projects in the country will amount to 64.275 billion Turkish liras in 2020-2021.

Some 31.183 billion liras will be allocated for the implementation of projects in 2020, which will be 3.413 billion liras more compared to the budget for 2019.

An amount of 31.092 billion liras will be allocated for the implementation of projects in 2021.
