Starting from July 6, 2019 Kazakh company SCAT Airlines will launch direct flights from Kazakhstan to the capital of Japan Tokyo, Trend reports with reference to LS news agency.

“The government provided the company with needed support and subsidizing,” the report said.

“Furthermore, the launch of direct flight to Shanghai in China is expected this fall. An agreement on increase of flights from Nur-Sultan city to Moscow city was reached with Russia," the statement said.

“Some 14 flights a week will be carried out by Air Astana and another seven flights will be performed by SCAT Airlines, with the number of flights equaling to six times a day or 21 a week, compared to 12 flights in the past. This change will help to decrease the prices,” the report said.

“The signing of an agreement on the launch of direct flight to USA in the form of Open Skies is also planned. All issues were already worked on, and the company, which will be able to conduct the technical accreditation, has been identified. Following the accreditation, direct flights would be launched in 2021,” the source said.
