The volume of cargo turnover in Kazakhstan amounted to 339.3 billion ton-kilometers in January-June 2019, which is 1.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.
In turn, the volume of passenger turnover amounted to 167.6 billion passenger kilometers, which is 4.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
Foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan amounted to $45.633 billion in January-July 2019, which is an increase of 1.7 percent compared to the same period of 2018. The sum includes export worth $28.581 billion (decrease of 1.6 percent) and import worth over $17.052 billion (increase of 7.9 percent).
The volume of retail trade exceeded 5.949 trillion tenge during the reporting period, which is 5.4 percent more than in January-July 2018, whereas the value of wholesale trade amounted to 12.937 trillion tenge, which is 8.3 percent more than during the same period of last year.
