Exchange prices for liquefied gas down in Uzbekistan

There is a decrease in prices on the exchange market for liquefied gas, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX).

So, in July-September of the current year, exchange quotes for liquefied gas decreased by 22.1 percent, from 4.443 million soums to 3.460 million soums per ton.

A downward trend is observed as the autumn-winter season begins and in the volume of putting this product on exchange trading is increasing.

So, over the past 3 months, the volume of sales of liquefied gas through exchange trading increased by 49.8 percent.

In general, for the 9 months of 2019, 175,100 tons of liquefied gas was sold through exchange trading at UZEX, which is 33 percent less than the same period last year.

The leading positions in the structure of gas sales were held by LUKOIL Overseas Supply and Trading Ltd (52.9 percent), LLC Shurtanneftegas (13.4 percent) and LLC Mubarek Gas Processing Plant (12.2 percent).

The structure of the acquisition of liquefied gas on the exchange has not changed. The main players in the market are owners of gas filling stations in the Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Bukhara and Karakalpakstan regions, whose combined share exceeded 71.7 percent of the total. It worth noting that the proportion of Samarkand region only amounted to 36.2 percent.
