Consultations on improvement of legal basis of bilateral relations, as well as inventory were held between the Turkmen and Georgian foreign ministries in Tbilisi, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed the existing and expired interstate, intergovernmental, and interministerial agreements and treaties, as well as draft documents which under consideration between the two countries.
One of the priority spheres of the interstate interaction between the countries is the transport sector.
Favorable geographical position of the two countries and the common interests of the parties stipulate the favorable conditions for the effective efforts of both parties to create multimodal transport corridors by using the potential of the Caspian Sea and Black Sea regions.
The Lapis Lazuli transport corridor along the Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey route can be cited as a concrete example. The energy sector was also named among the relevant spheres of partnership.
