Azerbaijan's Ganja Instrument-Making Plant building up export potential

Azerbaijan's Ganja Instrument-Making Plant is building up export potential in order to expand the geography of supplies of its products abroad, a source at the plant told Trend.

The company plans to increase supplies to the Central Asian market, according to the source.

“This includes export of water meters and gas control points, which are in high demand,” the source noted. “There are plans to increase the volume of exports of these two types of products to the mentioned market in 2020. The plant’s products are exported to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and supplies are being established to Turkmenistan. In parallel, we also consider Kyrgyzstan as a potential market. Negotiations are underway with foreign partners in these markets.”

The source also noted that the company increased supplies to the Russian market.

“Starting next year, we plan to increase exports to countries of Eastern Europe, due to the demand for the company’s products,” the source added. “For 11 months of the current year, the plant manufactured products worth over 12 million manat (some $7 million). The products were mainly exported to Europe Russia and a number of other post-Soviet countries.”

Currently, the plant produces gas regulators, gas regulator points and LED lights, while water meters and gas control points are in the greatest demand.

The company is the largest in the sphere of mechanical engineering, engaged in the development and manufacturing of measuring tools, automatic and automated control systems.

The plant’s activity is directed at developing and increasing the level of instrumentation in Azerbaijan.
