Georgia increases export of mineral water

In 2019, Georgia exported mineral and fresh water for a total of $133.6 million, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Office of Georgia (Geostat).

According to information, the export of mineral and fresh waters from Georgia in 2019 increased by 17.6 percent compared to 2018.

In 2019, 219 million liters of mineral water worth $132.6 million were exported from Georgia.

In 2019, Russia imported mineral water worth $60 million and fresh water worth $591,000 from Georgia. Meanwhile, Georgia exported mineral water worth $23.2 million, and fresh water worth $100.1 to Ukraine.

Lithuania imported mineral water worth $15 million and fresh water in the amount $79,300 from Georgia. During this period, Georgia exported mineral water in the amount of $14.2 million, fresh water worth $8,900 to Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, Belarus imported mineral water worth $9.9 million and fresh water worth $57,900 from Georgia.

In 2019 Georgia exported mineral water worth $2.7 million to Uzbekistan, and mineral water worth $1.3 million to the United States.

At the same time, in 2019, Azerbaijan imported from Georgia mineral water in the amount of $1.1 million, and fresh water worth $ 26,600.

Georgia exported mineral water worth $1 million to Israel. Export of mineral water from Georgia to Moldova amounted to $696,200, fresh water - to $15,100.

In addition to these countries, Georgia exported mineral and fresh water to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Canada, China, Japan, Greece, the UK, Bulgaria, Turkey, Latvia, Germany and other countries.
