Turkmenistan to use new software for online payment

Turkmenistan has introduced a new TMCell Toleg software, which allows paying online by card, Trend reports with reference to Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

This software was created in order to improve the system of non-cash transactions.

Turkmenistan is working to introduce digitalization in various sectors of its economy. Thus, Turkmenpost company provides services for the purchase of goods online via card payment.

Improving card payment is an important part of digitalization, the report said.

In order to become a participant of global information dialogue, Turkmenistan approved the concept for the development of the digital economy in 2019-2025 at the government level on November 30, 2018.

Digital economy is contributing to the appearance of new professions related to digitalization providing the opportunity to work in a remote mode thus, increasing the employment efficiency in Turkmenistan's regions.

Currently, training is underway for servicing of digital networks.

As reported, due to digitalization, such services as monitoring cars and trucks via GPS trackers, providing information about their location, technical condition and fuel consumption have become popular in the country.
