Kermanshah Province - among Iran's most attractive for foreign investors

Kermanshah province in western Iran ranks third in terms of foreign investment in industry, mining and trade sectors, said Mohsen Darabi, chairman of the Kermanshah Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, Trend reports citing Shata news agency.

According to Darabi, Kermanshah province is in the third place after Zanjan and Razavi Khorasan provinces.

Darabi added that, 110 million euros of foreign investment was invested in the province in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) and investment in the province accounted for 13 percent of all investment in Iran.

The official said that last year the activities of 55 production enterprises were restored in the province.

"The activities of these enterprises have been restored through a loan worth 240 billion rials (about $5.71 million) and and 758 people have been provided with jobs,” he said.

Darabi said that 2.17 trillion rials (about $51.8 million) have been invested in 73 industrial and mining enterprises operating below capacity last year and more than 3,500 people were employed at these enterprises.

According to report of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, about $854.7 million worth of foreign investment was made last Iran last year.
