Azerbaijan's export to Kyrgyzstan up in 1H2020

The export of Azerbaijani products to Kyrgyzstan increased 1.7 times from January through July 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to the report, the export of Azerbaijani products to Kyrgyzstan in the first six months of this year totaled over $1.4 million, while a year earlier it was $857,000. Kyrgyzstan’s share in the total export of Azerbaijan remained unchanged and amounted to 0.01 percent.

Foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $2.5 million, which is 3.8 percent less compared to the same period last year, said the report.

Imports of Kyrgyz products to Azerbaijan dropped 1.7 times, amounting to $1 million. The share of Kyrgyzstan in the total imports of Azerbaijan decreased from 0.04 to 0.01 percent of the total import.

The balance of foreign trade turnover between the two countries for the reporting period was positive and equaled $425,000, the report noted.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $12.6 billion in the first half of 2020, which is 34.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019. The balance of foreign trade turnover decreased by 10 percent on an annualized basis and remained negative, making up $2.6 billion.
