A review of official statistics published by the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade shows that 319,700 tons of powder detergents by domestic factories have been produced from the beginning of the current Iranian year (started on March 20) to the end of September, Trend reports via IRNA.
"There is no shortage of detergent products in the country," the head of Iran Association of Producers of Cleaning, Cosmetic and Hygienic Products' board of directors Bakhtiar Alambeigi said.
He said the country produces up to 2.5 times more detergents, cosmetics and health-related products than the actual domestic consumption.
“In the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20), in addition to meeting the domestic needs, the production units exported their products to target markets,” he added.
Recently, the head of Iran Association of Producers of Cleaning, Cosmetic and Hygienic Products' board of directors announced that the price of toothpaste, soap, dishwashing liquids, and glass cleaners will increase by 40 percent and other hygienic items by 30 percent in the next few days.
