Entrepreneurs from Turkey and Azerbaijan purchased cotton yarn, smooth-colored and jacquard terry products during the auction at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports, with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
In the specified period, the total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $1.1 million.
Deals were also made on the exchange in Turkmen manat last week. Thus, entrepreneurs from the UAE and Turkey purchased cotton yarn for a total of more than 7.7 million Turkmen manat ($2.2 million).
In total, 7 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during the specified period.
A week earlier, 46 transactions were registered on the exchange of Turkmenistan.
The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
