MKT Istehsalat Kommersiya LLC, the largest cotton manufacturing and processing company in Azerbaijan will expand international cooperation in 2021, Rufat Ismayilov, member of the board of the MKT Istehsalat Kommersiya told Trend.
According to Ismayilov, at present, the company exports products to Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and other countries.
"Work is underway to increase the number of countries with which we cooperate. Our employees participate in foreign exhibitions, explore new markets, and also carry out work aimed at expanding the range of products and production facilities corresponding to these markets," said the company representative.
He noted that in the coming years, it is planned to increase cotton yields in Azerbaijan through the use of new planting technologies and irrigation.
"We also test new types of seeds to increase yields, conduct advertising campaigns to implement widespread use of seeds already tested, as well as proven sowing technologies and irrigation systems," said Ismayilov.
From January through March 2021, the largest exporter of Azerbaijan non-oil products among private companies was MKT Istehsalat Kommersiya LLC, which carried out export operations worth $40 million.
