BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye increased by 82.9 percent in value and 142 percent in volume, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.

The spokesman said that the non-oil trade turnover between the two countries for 3 months amounted to 3.77 million tons worth more than $3 billion.

“Whereas, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye amounted to about 1.56 million tons worth $1.64 billion,” he added.

According to Latifi, Iran exported 3.07 million tons of goods worth about $1.74 billion to Türkiye over 3 months, which is an increase of 192 percent in value and 363 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Meanwhile in the same period last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports to Türkiye amounted to 663,000 tons worth $595 million, Latifi noted.

The customs official also pointed out that in 3 months, Iran imported more than 700,000 tons of goods worth $1.27 billion from Türkiye, which is an increase of 22 percent in value, while a decrease of 22 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“So, Iran's imports from Türkiye amounted to 895,000 tons worth $1.04 billion in in the same period last Iranian year,” he said.
