The session was held June 22 at the Ministry of Finance with discussion of payment systems development in Azerbaijan. Trend quotes first deputy chairman of NBA Alim Guliyev, in December 2004 President of Azerbaijan signed a decree on approval of national payment system development program and the discussion was related to its execution.
В"One of the program components is integration of governmental authorities, like Ministries of Finance and Tax and State Customs Committee, with this system. The treasury automated system is being created at the moment. Similar system has been created in Ministry of Tax and State Customs Committee. We tightly cooperate with these authorities in this programВ", - Guliyev said. Upon the treasury automation, all said authorities will integrate with national payment system on fine payments wit NBA. This will result in budget incomes and expenses management by treasury using the uniform account.
Guliyev said the treasury already launched a pilot project in Khachmaz, but the whole republic will be covered by the end of the year.
