Seat considering production for Tango roadster concept

(autoinsidernews) - According to U.K.'s What Car? magazine, the Volkswagen Group's Seat brand will produce a road-going version the Tango roadster concept, which first appeared in 2002, but only if it is commercially viable. If the Tango was built, it would have to be derived from the brand's other models. The roadster would likely have to ride on the next-generation Ibiza platform, which means a supermini platform and front-wheel drive, reports Trend.

Seat's chief designer Luc Donkervolke has said that he wants the brand to become design-driven'. A production version of the Tango would certainly help achieve that aim.

The Tango would likely be similar to Ford's Streetka cabrio and would likely be priced around ВЈ15,000.
