On November 10, the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC) Asker Abdullayev met with Ira C. Queen, the Envoy for Caucasus Region of the Bureau of International Security and Prevention of Nuclear Weapons Spread of the U.S. Department of State.
Abdullayev spoke about the tendencies of development of the relations between Azerbaijan and USA and importance of the USA for Azerbaijan as a strategic partner.
The SCC representative voiced his hope for signing of an agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the USA in regards to the customs, which will create a new stage of customs co-operation.
The Envoy of the U.S. Department of State, highly assessed the present level of the co-operation between the USA and Azerbaijan and touched upon the development of the relations in the future.
