Azerbaijan GDP increased by 34,5% in 2006

In comparison with the corresponding indicator of 2005, Azerbaijan GDP increased by 34,5% in 2006. Trend has been told in the State Statistics Committee, that the indicator of GDP in the current prices to December 31, 2006 reached 17,7 bln. AZN. The volume of GDP per capita, increased by 33 percent, and reached 2120,3 AZN ($2373,3). The share of the production in GDP of the country increased from 68,6% (2005) up to 72,9%. However, the weight of the sphere of services in GDP reduced from 23,9% down to 20,6%. The taxes from the production and import reached 6,5% in GDP. In the reporting period, the industry worked out GDP at the volume of 10,3 bln. AZN, that was 58,3% out of the total volume of GDP. Agriculture, hunting sector, and forestry worked out the added value to the sum of 1,3 bln. AZN (7,1%). Construction sector вЂ" 1,3 bln. AZN (7,5%), transport sector вЂ" 948 mln.
