Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / Ziya Mammadov, the Azerbaijani Transport Minister, stated in Baku on 4 April that the Turkish company Yuksel Domanik will conclude the development of a feasibility study of the project on reconstruction of the Georgian section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route by the end of May.
According to the minister, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAR) has allocated $50mln for this work. "Generally, Azerbaijan plans to allot a $200mln credit to Georgia. These funds will be allocated out of the SOFAR's budget and the International Bank of Azerbaijan acts as the agent of the government," he emphasized.
