Kazakhstan, Astana, Dec. 29/ Trend , K. Konirova/ Kazakhstan is interested in the Turkmenistan's Caspian shelf, an informed source in KazMunayGaz National Company (KMG NC) said to Trend .
"There is a constant interest to acquire new assets, especially foreign ones. Today we are interested in exploration of the Caspian shelf in Turkmenistan's territory," a source said.
On Mar. 2008, KMG opened its branch in Turkmenistan. "At the moment an analysis is being conducted into potential of the Turkmen shelf so that to get right to the use of natural resources," a source added.
