Azerbaijan considers various variants of own gas supplies within diversification of fuel supplies on the European market, SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev said.
"If one of routes stretches via Turkey, the other variant within diversification is the opportunity to construct capacity for gas pressure in the terminal Kulevi, its transportation to Bulgaria and Romania and distribution in Europe," SOCAR head said.
The memorandum on mutual understanding in natural gas transportation was signed between Bulgarian company Bulqartransqaz and SOCAR on Friday. The document was signed between Bulqartransqaz executive director Ivan Drenovichki and SOCAR vice-president on investments and marketing Elshad Nasirov.
