In January-November, the Turkish Botas state pipeline company imported about 30.2 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources, the company reported. In 2008, Botas imported 38 billion cubic meters of gas.
Some 645 million cubic meters of gas fell to the company's January-October export operations.
In 2008, Turkey exported 443 million cubic meters of gas compared to 31 million cubic meters in 2007.
In January-November, about 28.7 billion cubic meters of gas was sold on the country's domestic market. In 2008, Turkey sold more than 36 billion cubic meters of gas compared to approximately 35.1 billion cubic meters in 2007.
