The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will soon commission a new gas station in Baku's Sabunchu region, an inside source at SOCAR told Trend today.
According to the source, the gas station will open on the highway to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
"The station will start working in the coming days," the source said.
According to the source, gas stations are also being built in the capital and outlying regions.
SOCAR's first gas stations opened on May 7. All three are located in Baku.
SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev said SOCAR plans to open seven more gas stations in in Azerbaijan this year. Over 20 million manat have been invested in their construction.
Ten more gas stations will also open in Azerbaijan next year.
