Kazakhstan decreases gas export in January-August

The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 7.599 billion cubic meters in January-August, 2012, compared to 8.447 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.

In August, 2012, gas exports in the country amounted to 0.906 billion cubic meters compared to 1.147 billion cubic meters in August last year. Thus, last month, 2012, exports of gas in the country amounted to 30.3 percent under production of 2.985 billion cubic meters.

Imports of gas in the country in January-August, 2012 amounted to 1.517 billion cubic meters compared to 3.459 billion during the same period of 2011. In August, 2012, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 201 million cubic meters, which is 2.6 percent less than the previous month and 7.2 percent less than in August, 2011.
