In January-July, the Baku International Sea Trade Port transhipped some 820,000 tons of oil cargo which is 13 percent less than the amount of transhipped oil cargos in the same period of 2012, a source at the Baku port told Trend on Thursday.
The decrease in transhipment of cargos from the Central Asia is related to their redirection to the oil terminal at Sangachal and other terminals. This process started last year.
In 2012, the port transhipped some 1.4 million tons of oil cargo against 1.74 million tons in 2011.
In 2010, the port transhipped 1.99 million tons of oil and oil products which is 21 percent lower than in 2009.
