The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) lowered its forecast for global supplies of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons in 2016, said EIA's Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) for May 2016.

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) lowered its forecast for global supplies of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons in 2016, said EIA's Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) for May 2016.

Global oil supplies are expected at the level of 96.23 million barrels per day in 2016 and 96.99 million barrels per day - in 2017, according to STEO.

The EIA forecasted global oil supplies at the level of 96.27 million barrels per day in 2016 and 96.61 million barrels per day - in 2017 in April STEO.

In 2015, global oil supplies were 95.77 million barrels per day, according to the EIA.

May STEO shows that global supplies of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons totaled 95.47 million barrels per day in 1Q2016, it is expected at the level of 96.03 million barrels per day in 2Q2016, 96.72 million barrels per day - in 3Q2016 and 96.67 million barrels per day - in 4Q2016.

Global oil supplies are expected at the level of 96.14 million barrels per day in the first quarter of 2017, 97.04 million barrels per day - in 2Q2016, 97.29 million barrels per day - in 3Q2016 and 97.47 million barrels per day - in 4Q2016.
