In January-November 2017, 7.64 billion manats were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector in January-November 2017 as compared to 7.82 billion manats in the same period of 2016 (decrease by 2.4 percent), said the country’s State Statistics Committee in a report.
During the period, total volume of investments in Azerbaijan’s industrial sector amounted to around 8.83 billion manats that is 1.9 percent more than in January-November 2016.
Thus, 7.58 billion manats out of this amount were invested in the country’s mining industry that is 2.4 percent less than in January-November 2016.
Meanwhile, investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heating amounted to 469.5 million manats in January-November 2017 that is 65.9 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
