SOCAR Energy Ukraine Trade House has sold around 20,000 tons of diesel fuel and around 34,000 cubic meters of natural gas in Ukrainian domestic market in the first two months of 2019, the company told Trend.
“It should be noted that January and February are traditionally considered as a “dead season” for oil traders,” said SOCAR Energy Ukraine.
The company said that the further increase of supplies will depend on the market demand and the economic situation in Ukraine.
“To date, the customer base of SOCAR Energy Ukraine Trade House exceeds 2,000 counterparties. It includes both large state structures, for example, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry and commercial enterprises,” said the company.
Further, SOCAR Energy Ukraine said that the total number of its gas filling stations in Ukraine as of early 2019 stands at 59, as well as two oil tankers which operate only during shipping.
“It is planned to open several new facilities throughout this year, install modules of selling liquefied petroleum gas at all operating filling stations of the network, where their operation is possible in accordance with the Ukrainian law. The development territory is million cities, in particular, Kiev,” said the company.
SOCAR has been operating in Ukraine since 2008.
