Turkmen gasoline to be displayed at Uzbek exchange trading

Imported gasoline ECO-93, produced in Turkmenistan, will be displayed at the exchange trading of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) for the first time, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbek Commodity Exchange.

Nara-Comfort Servis LLC will act as a gasoline supplier. Terms of delivery of goods will be implemented according EXW (Ex Works) shipping arrangement, which means that a seller makes a product available at a specific location, but the buyer has to pay the transport costs.

The starting price of the new exchange commodity is 600,000 soums ($58) per 100 kilograms.

According to data from various sources, one ton of gasoline averages about 1,293-1,370 liters.

To participate in the exchange trading, it is necessary to pass online accreditation at the exchange and conclude an order agreement with UZEX JSC broker.

The plant for the production of ECO-93 gasoline from natural gas, which meets the environmental standard Euro-5, in Turkmenistan was put into operation in 2019. When using ECO-93 gasoline, harmful emissions of sulfur oxide are reduced 50 times, nitrogen oxide - five times, carbon monoxide - two times, hydrocarbon emissions reduce up to 20 percent.

In Uzbekistan, following the results of the first half of 2020, the volume of gasoline that can be bought for one average salary increased by 92 liters or 38.7 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 330 liters.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekneftgaz has reduced the cost of selling RON-92 gasoline at its UNG Petro filling stations from 6,000 soums ($0.58) to 5,500 soums ($0.53).
