Iran's gas consumption increases

TEHRAN, Iran, December 14

Trend:

Iran's total gas consumption on Dec. 12 has reached 777 million cubic meters, said Dispatching Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammad Reza Jolaei, Trend reports via IRNA.

"Gas consumption in households and commercial sector reached 585 million cubic meters on Dec. 12," said Jolaei.

"Despite the rise of gas consumption, the gas distribution to power plants are ongoing and the NIGC is distributing 70 million cubic meters of gas to power plants per day," he said.

"Iran has also been devoted to its gas export commitments as well and its gas export estimation is 38 million cubic meters per day," Jolaei said.

The gas consumption in households and commercial sectors has increased due to cold climate and seasonal low temperature in Iran.
