BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. Turkey has imported a total of 518,422 tons of crude oil in January 2022 from Kazakhstan, which accounted for 14.48 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Thus, Turkey’s import of Kazakh crude oil increased by 79 percent compared to January 2021 (289,589 tons) and went down by 8.9 percent compared to the volume imported in December 2021 (569,622 tons).

Turkey’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through December 2021 amounted to 4.5 million tons.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to $336.9 million in January 2022, compared to $228.1 million during the same month of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s exports to Turkey amounted to $269.6 million in January 2022, compared to $158.1 million during the same period of 2021.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Turkey amounted to nearly $67.3 million over the reporting period, compared to $69.9 million during the same period of 2021.
