Gobustan Operating Company (GOC), developing contract area Southwest Gobustan, will keep drilling the well upon receipt of logging data, SOCAR officials told Trend. The well depth is some 4,100m. This will be a production well.
In summer 2006, GOC is going to conduct a 2- and 3-D seismography over the entire area of Southwest Gobustan. Fields Dashgil, Duvanni and Kanizadag within Southwest Gobustan will be covered by 3-D and Central and Northern blocks by 3-D seismography.
80% stock in Gobustan Operating Company belongs to Commonwealth Gobustan Limited, 20% to SOCAR.
