Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend / The South Korean Company - STX has intentions to sign a Memorandum on Mutual Understanding on Instalation of Ten Wind Electric Power Generators with the summary capacity of 20 Mwatt, Korean media reports referring to the Government of South Korea.
In addition, South Korea's Electric Power Corp. is reported to install a combined-cycle plant with the total capacity of 1,000 МWatt in Azerbaijan.
During the first quarter of 2007, "Azerenerji" generated over 6.6bln KWatt per hour of electric power. Notably, in the first quarter of 2006, "Azerenerji" generated about 7bln KWatt per hour of electric power.
The country's heat power stations generated 6bln KWatt per hour of electric power out of the total 6.6bln KWatt per hour generated in the first quarter of 2007, with about 0.6bln KWatt per hour coming from hydroelectric power stations.
