Азербайджан, Баку / Trend / Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The Marketing and Economic Operations Department (MEOD) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced a tender on export of 615,000 barrels of REBCO oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. The oil will be shipped on 29-30 July. The results of the tender will be announced on 21 June.
In January SOCAR did not transport oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline. In February, March, April and May SOCAR shipped three consignments of oil at a total volume of 450,000 barrels. In June a consignment was sold in the volume of 1.2 mln barrels.
In January oil pumped via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline was not carried out due to oil being delivered to oil refinery plants for production of fuel for electric power grids. This year Azerbaijan has ceased its gas import from Russia, which was used at the power stations to produce electricity.
In January-May SOCAR exported 326,395 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline.
In 2007 oil cargoes from Novorossiysk have been purchased by the following companies:
Glencore Energy UK Ltd - February (450,000 barrels);
REOC Ltd - March (450,000 barrels);
Glencore Energy UK Ltd - April (450,000 barrels).
Sunoil SA - May (450,000 barrels).
Oil Refineries LTD - June (1.2mln barrels).
