IMF to continue supporting Georgia in fiscal reforms

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will continue to support Georgia in carrying out fiscal reforms, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

Georgian Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani met with members of the IMF delegation, which has recently completed a two-week mission in Georgia.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing projects of the IMF Revenue Service as part of the IMF technical assistance project.

Discussions focused on future cooperation issues, including tax administration and tax risk management.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili and the head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Vakhtang Lashkaradze, as well as the IMF representative in Georgia Selim Cakir.
