In the second quarter of 2020, the value of movable and immovable property appropriated by Georgian TBC Bank amounted to 76.8 million lari ($25.1 million) against 54.8 million lari ($17.9 million) in the same period of last year, Trend reports via the data financial statements of the bank.
As reported, in the first 6 months of this year, the total assets of TBC Bank amounted to 18.98 billion lari ($6.2 billion).
In the second quarter of 2019, the bank's total assets made 16.84 billion lari ($5.5 billion).
Meanwhile, in the second quarter of 2020, the value of movable and immovable assets appropriated by the five biggest banks - Bank of Georgia, TBC, Liberty Bank, VTB and Basisbank amounted to 197.2 million lari ($64.4 million).
As of August 1, 2020, the banking sector in Georgia is represented by 15 commercial banks, including 14 foreign-controlled banks.
The banking sector's equity capital equals 5.28 billion lari ($17.2 billion), which makes up 10.32 percent of the commercial banks' total assets.
