Georgia will receive a PCR testing device, which will help the country increase its COVID-19 testing capacity, Trend reports via the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
According to ADB, since the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Asian Development Bank has been working to provide developing member countries with vital medical supplies and personal protective equipment.
“The Asian Development Bank has allocated a $12 million grant to Central and West Asian countries to purchase these materials and equipment and to help protect the population from the pandemic. Within the framework of this grant, Georgia will receive a PCR testing device, which will help the country increase its testing capacity,” the statement said.
ADB is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. Established in 1966, it is owned by 68 members - 49 from the region.
