Remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia increase

Remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia increased by 187 percent from November 30 to December 6 year-on-year, Trend reports via the weekly economic review of TBC Capital.

On November 22-29, the cash flows sent from Azerbaijan to Georgia increased by 199 percent.

As for the number of remittances from other neighboring countries, according to the document, inflows from Russia decreased by 25 percent annually.

The annual change in inflows from Armenia is still negative and amounted to -19 percent.

The growth rate of inflows from Middle Eastern countries (including Turkey) has become negative.

In addition to Azerbaijan, cash inflows from Ukraine also show strong growth. Cash inflows from North America also maintain a high growth rate.

As for total remittances, cash inflows in the first week of December were at last year's level.
