Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 June / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / From January to May 2008, totally AZN 337.1mln worth communication services were rendered to various organizations and people, which is 35.9% more as compared to the mentioned period in 2007, the Azerbaijani State-run Statistical Committee reported.
About 70.6% incomes are from mobile communication, service share and growth made up 40.8%.
The communication service growth was observed in Guba-Khachmaz region - 28.8 %, Nagorno-Shirvan - 48%, Aran - 28.7%, Nakhchivan - 87.1%, Lankaran - 35.1%, Absheron - 28.1% and Ganja-Kazakh - 28%.
From January to April 2008, the number of employees engaged in the communication sphere made up 22,600 people, with an average salary AZN 358.9, more by 27.6 % as compared to the previous years. The salary increased by 24.6 % in the state enterprises and 19.7 % in the private sector.
